The British singer officially announced her third album, 25 on Wednesday, Oct. 21, just days after publishing a Twitter letter in which
she told her fans, “I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life
happened.” The singer has described 25 as a “make-up record,” more adult in theme and tone. Her previous album “21” has sold 11.2 million copies in the U.S., according to
Nielsen Music, which makes it the 10th-largest selling album since
Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991. It’s also the U.K.’s best-selling
album of the millennium, according to a survey published in March by the
Official Charts Company. 21 has shipped more than 30 million copies worldwide. According to Adele, the new album is set to be released on Nov. 20 2015.
