JAMB FORM: Candidates warned about fake registration


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has issued a warning to candidates. This is concerning JAMB form for the up-coming examination in 2019.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, the board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, gave the warning about sales of fake JAMB form.

You can only purchase JAMB form at CBT centers to avoid fraudsters

He said:


“Notice to the board shows that some fraudsters have listed out centres for the examination and in the process, inserted some illegal ones.

“Let me state here that all the processes concerning the board can only be done by approved Computer Based Centres (CBT).”

According to Benjamin, more than 700 centres accredited so far. Therefore, these centers will be used to conduct the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The JAMB UTME will star from March 16.

He said, JAMB would soon publish the list of all approved centres in all its state offices nationwide. These will guide prospective candidates in choosing centres nearest to them.

In addition, he announced that the sales of registration documents for the examination would commence on Jan. 10.

“Already, the list of over 700 accredited centres for this examination is available on our website. “But we will soon publish adverts about all the processes, we are hoping to do so soon.

“This will guide the candidates towards the examination processes. In order not to fall prey to these fraudsters who are bent on finding ways of causing pains to innocent Nigerians,” Benjamin said.

In conclusion, he said candidates can download “playstore app” on their phones and download “jambibass” for authentic information especially as regards subject and course combinations among others.
